Our Story

Cascador launched in 2019 with a simple mission: help mid-stage African entrepreneurs scale sustainable ventures that bring important change to marginalized communities. From the start, we set in motion a thriving ecosystem devoted to solving Nigeria’s most pressing challenges. Cascador has elevated countless African companies through a unique blend of education, self-discovery, mentoring, pitch training, and personalized advisory support.

Our Foundation for Impact

Cascador would not exist without the generous support of the Empowering Economic Growth Foundation (EEGF). A private-operating group based in the U.S., EEGF is committed to strengthening Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to create lasting impacts for local communities. Through capital investment and mentorship programs, EEGF provides the fuel that powers Cascador and drives social change.

Our Program

The Cascador program is an intensive, in-depth examination of you and your company, including your leadership skills, business model, and value proposition. It includes six months of post-program mentorship to ensure you can apply what you learn in the real world. All business models are welcome, not just venture-backable models. Impact entrepreneurs are always encouraged to apply.

Our Valued Partners

Through a partnership with Sterling Bank, we offer a tailored mix of debt, equity, guarantees, and collateral investments designed to meet the unique needs of each business. The fund culminates in our annual Pitch Day, where selected alumni present their businesses to our Investment Committee and a curated audience of investors and lenders. We also award a professional development stipend of $5,000 USD to each participating entrepreneur accepted into the cohort.
